Parabolic Suspension:
Eric,
Thank you for your e-mail. If you ad a leaf the rate of the spring will be
increased by 100% (!) This is something you don't want.
My mono-leaf spring is perfectly suited for the loads and stresses of the
vehicle. The number of leaves don't say anything about the strength of the
parabolic spring.
Please look at the parabolic rear spring of the Mercedes Sprinter which has
only one leaf and works without any problems. The principle of parabolic
springs is the one single leaf represents a complete multi-leaf spring.
A height increase of 60 mm is not possible without changing the length and
dimensions of the spring. If I change these details the drive line and bump
stops will also be affected.
Also the roadworthiness of the vehicle may be affected greatly.
At the moment I don't have any particularity type of shock for the kit. I
will design a special, longer shock for this kit in due time.
Regards,
Paul
