So, we participated at the BRR (Belgium rally race), held in Hesdin , France. Why France? In Belgium is fourwheeling outlawed...:thefinger:
Line up at the starting line. Every 20", a car can start for a 10 KM round. Here, you see everything. From wreck with winch until ultra4 buggy's. A total of 53 competitors.
First round, first corner, flat tire. I got a little carry'd away...Put the spare on and increse the preassure from 21 to 30 Psi.
Carry on easy. No more room for mistakes.
On the slopes, hammer down! Jungle trekkers on 30 Psi = no grip!
At the dry sections, we reach sometimes 62 Mph!
At the winch slopes, we lose a lot. A standard Warn 9000 on 12V needs a lot of time....
My newbee copilot needs to learn the trade. After the second winch slope, he knows how things are done. The only thing he has to do is work on his physical condition! :beer: For his first time, he did a great job!
On day 1, we completed 5 rounds without any problems and ended on a 22 nd place. We entered the campsite, tanked, charged the intercom's and ready for day 2.
All the other competitors were working. We had time to relax and have a nice BBQ.:smokin:
At the morning of the second day, a lot of competitors had repaired their rigs.Again a lot of team's at the starting line.
I had the impression we had a little more grip, so hammer down! The Panhard bar disagreed and decided to break loose from the chassis.... We finished 1 round, then end of story...
It was a great race. The car performed really well. We only need different tires and a fast winch to really compete at the front. Next year, well' be back!!! We had tons of fun!!!
